Description:
Mechanical filament sensor module using bearing and D2HW microswitch. Same type of sensor as used in BoxTurtle. Should provide better accuracy and reliability than for example lever type microswitch. Also bearing causes less friction instead of for example 4mm steel ball.
It is meant to be inserted in between Drive module and Front/Top.
BOM:
1x MR63ZZ bearing
1x D2HW-C201H microswitch
1x ISO 7380 M3x8 BHCS screw
1x 2pin JST-XH male connector
2wire ∅0.5mm (AWG24) cable
Assembly:
Solder the microswitch in NC - Normally Closed connection (use outer pins) with connector.
Then assemble the filament sensor like this:
Note:
The plate has thickness 9.7mm so any screws that are meant to hold the Drive module are to be longer by 10mm than with the stock EVA 3.0 configuration.
