The smoothest, most organic Voronoi ball stamps yet, rendered in matching positive (Islands) and negative (Webs) versions. The Islands are nominally 65mm (about 2.5 inches) diameter. The Webs are about 70mm. Extrusions or embosses are about 1.5mm high/deep. If you want equally-sized stamps, scale the Web rollers to 93% in Prusa Slicer. (Make sure to keep the Lock enabled.) Both stamps start as 65-mm diameter spheres. The Voronoi web pattern is drawn on the sphere, then thickened to produce the Web. It's then subtracted from the sphere to make Islands.
The Webs look like robust spider webs wrapped around a puff of air. The Islands resemble a watery planet with lots and lots of islands poking above the ocean.
I've printed and photographed just one pair, Island 05 and Web 05, to show them off. At this point my garage is overrun by clay stamps and I don't want to aggravate a housing crisis by printing 16 more.
These are quite similar to my Nine Graduated Voronoi Clay Stamps, but the patterns are unique to this series. The Voronoi Webs are smoother and more artistic (I'm creeping along the learning curve). As before, they range from 40 facets to 200 facets in 10-facet increments, with gradually narrowing struts. And I've added a complete set of matching Islands.
They print fine in PETG. I used PLA organic supports on my Prusa XL, limiting supports to the lower parts of the model with a support blocker.
(I love the Prusa XL. Just plain love it. But I have nearly equal love for the geniuses who thought up organic supports. They make the life of a 3D printer operator pretty great.)
