Compact Pasta Dryer

My partner needed a compact pasta dryer to go with her new pasta machine. At first, we were being savages and using a clothes horse. We checked out some options online, but since I love making things myself, this felt like the perfect challenge!

The body and arms are made from hardwood dowel rods—10mm for the arms and 12mm for the legs and main “trunk.” I used a 3.5mm x 25mm chipboard screw to secure the 3D-printed parts to the dowels, and I treated the wood with beeswax for protection.

There’s definitely room for improvement. I could refine some of the prints to be more compact and easier to print, as a few currently require supports. I’d also like to explore additional configurations, such as a rotating wheel with two poles and a wider turning angle. If I have time in the future, I’ll tweak the design—but for now, it works!

Of course, I still need my partner’s approval, so a redesign might be on the horizon. Open to any suggestions!
