With these case panels you can make your BeamCase (computercase) look like a container, currently this includes BeamCase sandwich, BeamCase SFF and (m)ATX. For each frame version there are two lengths available to support 300mm or 360mm aluminum profiles.

The container case panels feature a vent design, that hides the holes when looking at the case from the front or at an angle, this way it looks as much as a container as possible.
The larger cases feature a double container design with a less tall one at the bottom.

Sizes

The images primarily show the sandwich version with IFW140 and IFL300, but the case comes in variations ranging from IFW90 to IFW150 to fit the different BeamCase versions. There are also different length options of IFL300 and IFL360. These corelate to the length of the aluminum profiles used for the BeamCase frame (300mm being default).

IFW = Inner Frame Width; the distance between the frame rails in mm
IFL = Inner Frame Length; the length of the profiles used for the frame in mm

Required Hardware:

  • M3x8mm countersunk screws (12x)
  • M3x16mm countersunk screws (4x) only needed for versions with stacked container design
  • M3 nuts (number depends on version)
  • optional M2x10mm countersunk screws (4x) for the connectors (can be glued as well)

 Print Instructions frame:

All the panels and stand to cover a case are in a single STL for each version. Before you print it you will have to separate them into individual objects in your slicer (use the function “split to objects” for that). Then you can use “auto orient” and arrange to  place them optimally.
All parts are designed to be printed flat without supports, and can be printed with just 2 walls and light infill, I used 24% cubic infill.

You should consider shrinkage of the material as the parts have to be fairly precise in order to fit properly. For PLA I scale up the parts by 100.1% and for ABS 100.5%, but it can vary from filament to filament, so ideally run a small test to verify it.

The connectors to attach the Stand are made up of three pieces each, which can be glued together, or a countersunk M2x10mm screw can be used to connect the three pieces.

Printer Requirements:

Printer requirements vary depending on what version you print. For the sandwich case all versions should fit on a Bed with 220mm length.
BeamCase SFF and (m)ATX versions will require a printed above 220mm depending on the version, but everything easily fits on a 256x256mm printed.
