Froggy is my first attempt at an ant-weight (sub 150gram) battlebot with an active weapon.

It fits (barely) in the palm of your hand at a size smaller than 10 x 10cm.

It uses a small (MG90S) servo with an arm to flip opponents.

Print instructions

Use the provided .3mf files, which include the correct printing direction and painted on supports. The main files are ready for the MK4(s). The arm includes a small brim which needs to be removed after printing.

The (optional) eyes were printed on an MK3S using the tool change/manual colour swap technique. See my other model for instructions.

Required hardware

  • 2 x N20 500 RPM motors
  • MG90S servo
  • Bidirectional Brushed ESC for 2 motors
  • Happy Model EPW6 ELRS PWM receiver
  • 2 x 32mm wheels with D slots for the N20 motors
  • 2 x M3 x 8mm hex bolts with 2 x M3x3.0 inserts for the lid
  • 2 x M3 x 18mm hex bolts for mounting the lifter arm
  • 2 x M2.5 x 5mm hex bolts for mounting the switch
  • 350 mAh REELY 2S LiPo battery.
  • 1 paperclip, cut to size for connecting the arm to the servo
  • 2 x 3mm wide cable tie for the motors and 1 x 5mm cable tie for the front electronics.
Optional hardware (for the eyes)
  • 2 x M2.5 x 5mm hex bolts and 2 x M2.5x4.0 inserts for mounting the eyes.
  • 2 x 3mm LED's and appropriate current limiting resistors.
  • Some small wires and connectors for connecting the LEDs to the receiver.

Changing the model

The battlebot is far from perfect. Especially the arm design could be improved.

Below you can find the FreeCAD file, which includes also models of the  used electronics.
