Light source holders for VFMoto Shutter Tester

The VFMoto Shutter Tester is an excellent tool for the amateur photographer to test shutter speeds of old film cameras. One challenge in using the tool is that we need to hold the constant light source directly in front of the lens while triggering the shutter, and also holding the light sensor.

The seller recommends sacrificing a lens cap for this purpose, but we have 3D printers, so we can print a special cap that is designed for holding the light source!

These are very simple parts. I have included files for multiple cameras, but it is likely you will want to make your own for other cameras.

Please download the FreeCAD model for any one of these (the models are all the same, just with different settings in the spreadsheet).

Change the value for filter_od to whatever you need. I use imperial units, but you can put whatever units you wish, just be sure to type the unit. It will work just fine if you type in “52mm" in the value cell.
