Compatible with ESPHome and Home Assistant
Description
This STL model is designed to house a custom display that integrates an ILI9341 screen with an ESP32 microcontroller. It is ideal for users who want to show Home Assistant data or manage custom interfaces through ESPHome. The enclosure is composed of four 3D-printed parts that assemble to provide a robust and elegant mounting.
Model Components
- Display - Front:
The front panel where information is displayed. - Display - Back:
The rear part of the enclosure, which protects and conceals the electronics. - Display - ILI9341 Pin Block:
Blocks the ILI9341 to the case. - Display - Light Bleed Blocker:
A piece designed for multicolor printing to reduce light bleed, enhancing screen contrast and readability. If you choose to use it, my recomendation is to align it in the slicer, merge it with Front part and print it in black.
Materials and Requirements
- Printing:
It is recommended to use PLA or PETG with a layer height of around 0.2 mm for good detail in the parts. - Assembly:
The model requires 4 M3 screws of 20 cm to securely fasten all parts.
(Note: Verify the actual screw length, as 20 cm might be excessive for a typical mounting; often, 20 mm screws are used.)
Printing and Assembly Instructions
- Printing:
- Print each component separately.
- It is recommended to enable supports only on those parts that require them (e.g., for the pin block).
- Post-Processing:
- Sand and remove any excess material, especially on the Light Bleed Blocker, to ensure a perfect fit over the front panel.
- Assembly:
- Mount the ESP32 and the ILI9341 screen. Use "Pin Block" to lock your screen
- Fasten the front and back panels with the M3 screws, making sure is properly positioned to prevent unwanted light leakage.

Final Considerations
- This design is intended to simplify the assembly and integration of an ILI9341 display with an ESP32 for custom smart home panels or control interfaces.
- Added some wiring template. I didnt use “touch” pins because my display is touchless
- My “Prusa” stats are collected via Prusalink add-on in Home Assistant and then are feeded via ESPHOME.
- The provided ESPHome template is a starting point—feel free to adapt it according to your hardware and desired functionality. I highly recommend using some IA assistant for tinkering a nice dashboard layout.
- Remember to double-check the screw length, as the correct fit is crucial for proper assembly.
