Ikea-Style Barbie Wardrobe

This is an Ikea-inspired wardrobe (loosely styled after the BRIMNES) designed for Barbie and other 1:6 scale dolls and accessories. Contains several drawers and a functional hanging clothes cabinet. Drawer and door handles are oversized for easy manipulation by small hands.

Requires two 1/8" (3mm) x 0.75" (20mm) dowel pins for the door hinges, which are easily obtainable on Amazon and tap in with a small hammer and drift. The pins could also be printed if desired, or small bits of coffee-stirrer / cocktail straws, matchsticks, etc. could be used instead.

The cabinet “carcass” pieces and base/feet are sized for the bed of the Prusa Mk3, and the flat faces glue together with CA or hot glue. Door handles are press-fit, but I also used a bit of CA to ensure they stayed on in use.

The wide bottom drawer (intended for shoes) is a separate assembly and can be omitted if desired. Or you could put it on top—whatever your “end user” prefers!

Printed in Inland White PLA+ for the frame, and Inland Purple/Gold PLA for the drawers. Note that if you want to avoid the horizontal streaking when using two-tone filament, set your slicer to print each object individually before moving to the next one. This will keep each face of the drawer a consistent color, although it will take somewhat longer.

All parts print without supports except for the door handles, which should have bed-only supports enabled.

Infill and number of walls can be as low as 10% and 2 on all sides, although for a more durable toy you may want to increase it.

A STEP file (mm units) is included if you want to edit the model, scale it, customize with a name, add trim features, colorize with a MMU… go nuts.
