I wanted a case for a BTT HDMI5 fo the Voron Zero, that wasn't problematic in transport.
So i made this version that mounts the display vertically to the side, and folds up against the side of the printer for transport. The whole thing is designed to be printable on the voron zero.
BOM:
2x m3x4x5 Heatset Insert
10x M3x8 screw
4x Your choice of t-nut
2x M3x25 screw
2x M3 nut
I tried adding pictures to document the build, but here's a small step by step guide:
- Print one of each.
- You need to add a pause to embed m3 nuts into the screwknobs during printing
- put 2x m3x4x5 heatset insert in the case halve that fits them.
- Use 2x m3x8 screws to put the two halves together
- Push the screen in from the front, and secure from the back using 4x m3x6 screws (usb and hdmi port facing the open hexagons)
- Use 4x m3x8 screws and 4 nuts of your choice, to mount the holder to the enclosure. I have mine on the left side, but then you also habe to configure klipperscreen to rotate the display.
- Insert the case into the holder, take 2x m3x25 screws and put an m3 nut on each. Then insert from the inside, theres a recess for the nut to catch. Add the knobs from the outside
- Use a ziptie to manage the cables
