Leeson 003565.01 Electric Motor Replacement Cooling Fan
Because of the high temperatures on an electric motor, print this in part Nylon or ABS. (I would suggest nylon with CF for strength and durability) 0.2mm layer height. I used 80% infill, but this part doesn't have a lot of areas that actually use infill.
Do yourself a favor - don't print this part until you print the sample centers - If your 3d printer is not perfectly calibrated, your print WILL NOT fit your motor shaft. Figure out which sample center fits the shaft on your motor. Center0 = 0.625" diameter. Center10 = 0.625+0.010" = 0.635". Scale the final model appropriately to get the fit you desire. ( if Center10 fits, enlarge your print by 0.635/0.625 = 1.016 )
If you want a fan that looks more like the original part and enjoy removing supports, print 003565.01_RevE. If you like an almost no post-printing cleanup part, print the 003565.01_RevG_FlatBottom model.
(or check around to see if the original part is still available from Leeson; I made this model because Leeson ‘discontinued’ the part only to make it available again about 6 months later… This option is much better than throwing out a perfectly good motor, but probably not as good as the OEM fan.)
