DIY Lower Spray Arm for Frigidaire Dishwashers

Durable DIY lower spray arm, engineered for simple assembly and heat resistance. Built using CPVC piping for spray arms and a 3D-printed ABS connector head reliable OEM alternative, this setup withstands high-temperature dishwasher cycles.

How to print and assemble:

100% infill on all parts

Head must be printed without supports. there will be some strining due to the bridging but it should still work regardless.

Both Pins should fit snug however as the temperature heats them they will lose some of the friction holding them in place this is why there is cut outs in the parts to add a rubberband or similar around to keep them on the head aswell as giving them some flex to be insterted into the flanged connecter of the dishwasher.

CPVC pipes. these are the ½" (16mm). cut them to a langth that works for you, make sure you have enough to go into the head about 40mm as it helps with the strangth of the arms.
Drill holes so that the head spins counter clockwise. ↺  ← for refreance. 15°/20° for optimal rotation.
3 to 4 holes on each arm shouldwork well. 2 should face up and 2 should face to the right of the pipe if looking at the head from the top down as center.

Use CPVC Cement to join to the head.

Design Overview:

CPVC Spray Arms: High-temperature-resistant CPVC pipes.

3D-Printed ABS Connector Head: heat-resistant ABS plastic (up to 200°F/93°C),chemical stability in dishwasher environments.

Customizable Design: Adjust CPVC arm length or nozzle placement to tailor spray patterns for your dishwasher’s lower rack.

Cost-Effective Repair: Bypass OEM part costs by repurposing plumbing-grade CPVC and 3D-printed components.

Nozzle Configuration: drill holes 2mm (3/32” diameter) spaced 2” apart on CPVC arms, angled at 15° for optimal water distribution. Users can adjust hole size/placement for specific spray patterns.

Eco-Friendly: Reuse materials and reduce waste by repairing instead of replacing the entire dishwasher.

Compatibility & Notes:

Designed to fit Frigidaire dishwashers with standard lower spray arm mounts (verify measurements before Printing).

Testing
In the pictures. i tested the CPVC with a hot iron to see how heat resistant it would be, and turned out very heat resistant. if you where wondering why it was burned, thats why. still work just fine and the dishwasher doesnt even reach those temperatures no extra shielding needed

ABS printing tip: Use 100% infill and acetone smoothing for watertight, heat-resistant layers.
