Mount this Magnetic Connect Four Board to the kitchen fridge for a quick and fun way to decide who empties the dishwasher. Mount it to your filing cabinet to add a bit of nostalgic kitsch to your workspace, while providing a fun way to settle office rivalries.

Printing:

Printing the board is super simple. All the files have already been oriented for optimal printing, and can be printed with your default print settings and very little support material. I just printed the left and right posts with auto-generated support material. Barely added any print time or material, and it only took a minute to remove. All other parts printed perfectly without the need for support material. Print 1 of each part in the same color, except for the game chips. You'll need 21 chips of one color and 21 in a second color for a full set. I printed my pieces in the classic blue, red, and yellow color scheme, but of course feel free to pick your favorite colors.

Assembly:

Assembling your Connect Four Board will likely be intuitive for most, but here's a quick rundown of the assembly process just in case:

  1. Insert one side of the game board into either the left or right post. When oriented correctly, the ribbed side of the game board and the side of the post with 2 holes for magnets should be facing the same direction. This should be a fairly tight fit, but I would recommend using some adhesive to permanently bond these pieces after making sure everything fits together properly.

  2. Slide the board gate along the bottom edge of the game board so that the end of the gate fits into the remaining space at the bottom on the post.

  3. Add the remaining post to the opposite side of the game board. The board gate should still be able to slide a short distance from side to side. This piece will release the chips from the game board at the end of each game. Make sure to not accidentally glue the board gate in place while assembling, it needs to slide freely for your board to function properly.

  4. Use adhesive to secure magnets into place on the assembled game board and the chip tray. You'll need a total of 7 magnets (8x3 mm). I would recommend Gorilla Super Glue Gel, but most adhesives will do the trick.

Your Magnetic Connect Four Board is now fully assembled and you're ready for your first game! Please be sure to post a Make if you print this design, and consider following me on Instagram or joining my Printables Club if you want to support my work.

That's all for me, folks. Go have fun playing Connect Four on your fridge I guess! Bye!
