Use at your own risk! It's been working well for me but I can see how it could be a bad idea to clamp your brakes to your bike with some plastic.

I've included STEP/Fusion 360 files in case you need to remix it for a different style of dropper/shifter.

Printing Tips:

  • Use a tough filament that's UV and heat tolerant
    • Warning: I originally used ASA and it failed non-catastrophically, but it failed nonetheless. I didn't realize that ASA, while tough, has poor layer adhesion on the Z axis
    • I'm trying both PETG and hard TPU (72D shore hardness). Both seem to be working well but the TPU is remarkably tough with great layer adhesion. If you go for TPU you must dry it for 12+ hours before use
      • UPDATE: Both of these plastics worked great, but I ultimately got them 3d printed in aluminum for peace of mind
  • No supports needed
  • Use lots of walls. I used 5 walls at 0.66 line width with a 0.6 nozzle
  • Consider using 70%+ infill

Changelog

  • 26-Mar-2025: Revised Matchmaker bolt hole by adding more material to improve strength
  • 04-Apr-2025: Updated the aesthetics. No functional changes
  • 02-May-2025: Improved the fit of the shifter/dropper mount recess based on my experience with the version printed in metal
