Speedloader adapters for the NorthEast FAMAS magazines, compatible with both regular and Odin style speedloaders. In addition to their primary function, the adapters also have an included BB ejection lip which can be used to easily remove one BB after filling the magazine up to the maximum 25, as recommended by NorthEast to reduce wear on the nozzle.

Printing Instructions:

Print from the flat face with any suitable material. No support material should be necessary.

Operating Instructions:

For the regular style speedloader:

Simply insert the magazine into the adapter until it bottoms out. Make sure the feeding lips of the magazine faces the feeding hole. After this, simply insert your speedloader into the slot and fill as usual. Finally, you may optionally use the ejection lip on the other side of the feeding hole to remove one BB to reduce wear on the nozzle.

For the Odin style speedloader:

First insert the adapter into your speedloader. There is only one appropriate orientation for insertion and the part should lock in place using the existing magazine catch functionality. After this, insert the magazine into the adapter until it bottoms out. Make sure the feeding lips of the magazine faces the feeding hole. After this, simply turn the crank and fill as usual. Finally, you may optionally use the ejection lip on the other side of the feeding hole to remove one BB to reduce wear on the nozzle.

Notes:

The adapter for the Odin style speedloader adapter has been constructed to securely fit in my particular unit, which happens to be a generic reproduction of the original M12 Sidewinder by Odin Innovations. The adapter fits so snugly that I have to press the adapter in place, but at least the it will be safely secured even when applying torque on the crank. However, there may be other tolerances on other products, if so I would appreciate any relevant pointers as to how to make the model more compatible if needed.

Additionally, I had some issues with BBs not feeding properly. When cranking, the speedloader sometimes slipped with an audible click without feeding any BBs, as if the paddle wheel responsible for moving the BBs was slipping under or around the BBs it was attempting to push forward. I ended up replacing the paddle wheel entirely, which appears to have resolved the issue. The model I ended up using is the following: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5512749 I've had a good experience using this part so far, and can recommend it if you're facing any similar issues.

You are also recommended to adjust the slip clutch of your Odin style speedloader to avoid damaging either the speedloader, adapter, or magazine due to excessive forces potentially being applied to them. Use with care.
