a drop in insert that closes the aperature of the dust shroud. sized so that it leaves 1/16" of clearance of the collet at its maximum range. if your router bits are smaller than the diameter of the collet then there will not be interference. did not use magnets because the dust extractor suction alone holds this adapter in place sufficiently. low profile and does not interfere with the original acrylic guard
