This gadget seamlessly adds wireless charging to the MG3 Hybrid+. It uses a Qi charger and an anti slip pad.
The anti slip pad is optional, but ensures the phone will keep charging even during a rough drive.
This design do not use the provided USB ports because the power is not sufficient for a fast and stable charge (but you can try anyway with a slightly longer cable).
Parts needed:
- Qi Charger (https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0CXDLWLDK), it should work with any charger about 85mm diameter and 7.4 mm height
- 12V USB Charger
- 30cm USB cable (USB-C to USB-C)
- Anti slip pad (https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0DD435X1M)
- 4x M3x8 flat head screws
- 4x M3 hex nuts
- Hot glue (to show the charger's LED)
Steps:
- Print all parts
- Push the anti slip support into the charging base top (see photo)
- Push the hex nuts into their sockets
- Place the wireless charger and use hot glue to connect the LED light to the light hole
- Connect the USB cable (see photo)
- Close the cover with the 4 screws
- Place the logo (use glue if needed) and the anti slip pad
