This is a workaround for CR-Touch probes that deploy in the middle of prints, wrecking the print and (sometimes) the probe. There are many reports of this online, suggesting there are likely multiple causes. Rather than trying to track down and debug all the possible causes, I developed this workaround. Simply slip it on the probe after printing starts, and it will block the probe if it decides to deploy for any reason. Just be absolutely certain to remove it before you start the next print (I'm open to suggestions for how to make this more fool-proof).
Printed with 0.4mm nozzle @ 0.2mm layer height, 20% density zig-zag supports @ 60°.
Note: This is a very thin-walled, delicate part with fairly tight tolerances. I'm including the original FreeCAD model in case you need to customize the fir for your printer.
