This simple print-in-place cable organizer allows you to easily mount and secure your tool power cords while they are in use.

UPDATE: I have added some images showing where to add the Tree Supports, as well as the settings I used to have enhanced control over where the supports were placed. I hope this helps some of you thinking about printing these clips.

Happy Printing!

Other similar items have openings on the underside of the clip which forces you to remove every single clip in order to change the cord. Likewise, many only have the capacity for ONE cord. Well, that is kinda silly, so I did something about it.

My Festool cable clip opens from the top, which means that the clip can stay secured while you change out cords. Additionally, it has enough space to hold multiple cords at a time. This creates an easier flow and will save your valuable time.

Print Info:

Layer Height:

0.16

Walls:

2

Infill:

10% Honeycomb

Supports:

Yes, I use “Tree Manual” and then paint on support for the floating lip on the inside of the clip. Don't use “Auto” Supports as they may mess up the print-in-place hinge.

Post-Print:

After printing is finished, just firmly unseat the hinge (this may take a couple back-and-forths) so that it can move freely and clasp when required.

Beyond this…. have fun and enjoy!
