I built a charge cradle for Mom's Sonim XP3+ phone. (broken usb port)
The phone can only go in one way, and the weight of the phone pivoting against the “chin” keeps it in contact with the pins.
Two printed parts, top and bottom. Printed in PLA. Held together with friction.
The sleeve and pins are brass from a hobby shop. The sleeves are pressed in and glued into place.
The cross-drilled charge pins are soldered to the charge circuit. The charge circuit supplies 5v and has protection against over-current. I scavenged the circuit from a surplus charger. The charge circuit is held in place with some foam tape.
Springs are thin music-wire, held in the slots with dabs of hot glue.
