!!ATTENTION!! Work in progress

This is just the beginning of the project and there is a lot that can be improved. The functions are very basic, but it has been tested, fits and works correctly. I will add more and more detailed information as I can.

The included models are best printed from a material that is more temperature resistant than PLA, such as ASA or PC, due to the conditions in the printing chamber. I printed my models using ASA filament for the outer part and PC for the diffuser.

The models have been prepared in such a way that they fit on the print sheet, but the lower part requires small supports and after adding them, you will most likely get an error that the model does not fit - just move it slightly. The top cover is printed upside down.

To connect the elements of the print, you will need 3 M3x8 screws. At the end of the arms there are hooks that prevent the strip from delaminating. The diffuser should be inserted into the lower part of the housing. It has insets in the middle that should be matched to the upper and lower parts, which secures it in place. Please note that the parts are not symmetrical.

The model was prepared to accommodate a narrow (2.7 mm) LED strip with a density of 160 LEDs/m, which allowed the use of 50 light points. It is best to use a piece of an old USB cable to connect the ribbon. Depending on your ability and how you solder the cable to the ribbon, it may be necessary to break off the leftmost tab holding the ribbon to make room for the cable.

The hardware is not yet ready for direct communication with the printer, so I am only attaching a sample Arduino code that allows you to connect to the printer via the API using ESP32 and show the progress of the current print.

This is my first publication, so please be understanding 😉
