Files to print :
- Base
- Enough cartridges to fit in the 120mm slot of the base
- One Cartridge top per cartridge
- Example : I can print 2x 30mm cartridges and 1x 60mm cartridge. ( Because 30mm + 30mm + 60mm = 120mm.) And in this case, I will need to print 3 cartridge tops.
Instructions :
- Print the files (preferably in ABS or ASA to avoid deforming)
- Add carbon pellets in one of the cartridges you printed and screw the top.
- Add a couple different metal parts in an other cartridge. I recommend using steel screws, nuts, bearings, dowel pins, etc. and screw the top.
- Fill the remaining space on the slot of the base. (For example, if I used 30mm cartridges for the carbon and the screws, I will need to add an empty 60mm cartridge to fill the slot.) (Do not forget to screw a top on the addition cartridge.)
- Put the whole thing on your Polydryer and start the Polydryer.
Recommended settings (if you have printed the parts in PLA or PETG, you might need to reduce the temperature) :
- Temperature : Maximum
- Time : 6h

Inspirations :
To design this model, I was inspired by this video that shows how you can test activated carbon :
I have not had the chance to test my design with acidic carbon so I have not seen how rusty the metal parts can become, but in the video, the metal parts get very rusty in around 6h so I think you should program the Polydryer to run for around 6h.
Types of metal parts that can be used :
