These are drink-coasters or battle-stands.
They organize your glass-ware, show of your selection of Filament and optionally light everything up from below.
Originally designed for a party where we needed a Drink-Randomizer
They fit any glass or bottle with a 80mm diameter on it's thinnest bottom. The parametric design can be enlarged as needed.
They can be puzzled into any rectangular 2D shape. A Line. A rectangle. A filled rectangle. etc
Optional LEDs & Electronics
You can put 10W COB-LEDs like these inside, and light your glass or bottle from below. If you do, remember to never drive them with full power! These LEDs can get quite hot! If you limit yourself to 40% max power, you have about 90s before they become too hot for PETG. If you blink them at 40% or fade them sparingly, the heat will never be a problem. You have been warned.
Solder appropriate wires onto the LEDs, then push LED and wires into the printed part. Drive them with reduced voltage and or PWM.
Software & Hardware
In order to build our Drink-Randomizer, we used
- esphome with this script
- an ESP32 board capable of driving 12 channels with PWM but an off-the-shelf H801 with just 5 channels will do fine as well.
Printing
- 0.25mm or variable layer height
- infill: 25% aligned rectangular (makes smooth surfaces)
- any nozzle size
- Material with higher melting point: PETG or GreenTecPro or PCTG or PC or Nylon, etc
