The intent of this model is to better capture POV footage so that it is more inline with what your eyes are actually seeing. The stock hat mount that comes with these cameras is OK for this, but it situates itself so far forward on the hat brim that you can perceive it as being within your field of view, this is quite distracting for some things. By moving the camera rearward ~20mm, we get it out of that FOV to the point that it is not nearly as noticeable, while also still keeping the hat brim out of frame.
This model can be printed on any flat side, but it is recommended to stand it on its side so that the layer lines can better oriented for the brim clip.
The camera is intended to be held in place by 2 10mmX3mm neodymium puck magnets glued into the recesses. You can find these at your standard everything retailer(Amazon, AliExpress, etc…)
The Go2 is slightly smaller in size, so it is recommend that you print the Go2 specific model for better fitment, although it will fit in the Go3 model with no issue.
I have not tested this with a 1st gen Insta360 Go, so you are on your own there.
The 2x models have twice the curve in the clip and are for those that really like to bend their hat brims.
Edit) Models have been updated after some user feedback that the hat brim, particularly with the Go2 was still in frame. The camera mount has been shifter forward by 8mm to get the brim fully out of view. This was most apparent with the 2x curve
