Here is my battery-pack dummy for the "Simplon Stomp".
I designed it so that the battery can be removed when the bike is being transported on a bike rack, while also protecting the contacts of the power system.
The dummy consists of two parts because otherwise it wouldn’t fit on my print bed. The parts are connected using four M6 screws with washers and nuts.
The dummy can be held in place using the standard locking mechanism, just like the original battery with the key lock, but I would recommend an additional securing method using straps.
Why should I remove the battery from my e-bike? To reduce the weight on the bike rack and the tow bar or roof rack, thereby improving handling and safety of your car.
The Dummy is only compatible with the Bosch E-Bike battery-packs.
