Chicken Waterer - Hühnertrog

This is a two part print which consists of the main water recipient and the faucet. You will need a Gardena Micro Drip System to connect this to. Check out their website, it is very well explained. I'll try to help in the comments if you need assistance.

Print the main recipient with a 0.8mm nozzle for strength and speed.

2 perimeters are enough with 7% adaptive cubic infill, this will save some Filament as this already amounts to 2 kg of filament. There is a presliced file available for the Prusa XL, 30 gramms short of 2 kilos in 0.30mm Detail for a 0.8mm nozzle with input shaper, and with fuzzy skin.

But you will see the infill shine through

If you don't want the infill to show, you'll have to print it with 4 perimeters of 0.5 layer line width and at least 20% infill. This will increase the total amount of filament to around 4.8 kilo with Honeycomb infill. (Presliced File available)

The faucet should be printed with 2 perimeters, 15% infill with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.15 structural print settings and you will need supports, preferably organic, z distance of 0.25, Top interface layers, and 4 layer rafts

The print is designed for the Prusa XL (34 cm large, 34cm long, and 35.5 cm high)

Aside from the prints you will need some additional Gardena Microdrip accessories. (around 13€)

1 piece of tubing with a diameter of 4.6mm 3/16", about 30cm or 12 inches long

1 piece of tubing with a diameter of 4.6mm 3/16", about 1.5cm or 5/8" long

2 L-Pieces 4.6mm 3/16" Article Number 13212-20

1 water drip (adjustable) 4.6mm 3/16"

aside from this you need some pressure reduction and additional tubing.

If you do not already have a Gardena Microdrip system, the cheapest option is a Microdrip a Microdrip Basic 1000 (around 10-15€), a hose adapter (3-5€ depending on the size) and any Gardena connection hose (12-100€ depending on length and quality).

And you have to cut of around 4mm of the connecter of the water drip, and the l-piece so that the tube will be short enough to be completely hidden inside the back of the print. (see the last picture)
