Scapegrid is a modular 3D structural grid designed to help aquascapers create stable, customizable terrain within their aquariums. Ideal for building elevation and topographic features, it serves as a lightweight formwork that is both practical and durable.

Each sheet measures 143mm x 286mm, with a height of 35mm, and is composed of interlocking hexagons sized 38mm x 44mm. The 1mm-thick walls of each hexagon strike the perfect balance between rigidity and flexibility—strong enough to hold their shape under substrate weight, yet easy to cut and shape to fit your layout.

Key features:

  • Layerable and customizable – Stack sheets to create height variations and sculpt your aquascape with precision.
  • Substrate retention – Fill the grid to securely hold soil and prevent collapse or slippage over time.
  • Stable and reusable – Ensures structural integrity without compromising design freedom.

Important note for printing:
To ensure safety in aquatic environments, Scapegrid should be printed using water-stable, non-reactive materials suitable for use with live fish and plants. Recommended filaments include:

  • ABS – Strong and water-resistant.
  • PETG – Durable, chemically stable, and safe for aquariums.
  • ASA – UV-resistant and inert in water.
Avoid materials like PLA, which may degrade over time in humid or submerged conditions.

Scapegrid is the ideal solution for aquascapers seeking both form and function—supporting complex designs while maintaining long-term structural stability.
