Parameters should allow you go generate the fit you need. The canoe I built this for had THICK gunwales so the #rocker parameter was set so I could get the bite I needed. Otherwise play with the length, thickness, width, etc. that you want to fit YOUR canoe.
As printed, I used 5/16" star knobs and 5/16 x 3" carriage bolts. I COULD add more “square” slot to make the carriage bolt travel a little greater.
My print settings with 3dxtech ASA (yeah, theyre beefy… base your settings on how much risk you want to accept with your canoe…
- 5 solid layers top and bottom
- 5 perimeters
- 30% gyroid infill
- I printed “on the side” so the carriage bolt slot is horizontal, so I turned on organic supports to get a good top surface to the slot
