I have always been a fan of Jim Phillips famous Santa Cruz Skateboards Screaming Hand. Its iconic in many different ways and when I came across my empty hitch on my car, I had an idea. Thanks to the amazing maker community; I found that someone had modeled the hand. Thanks Spookyandy for your model. I then used mesh mixer to combine the model with an existing blank hitch cover model. I printed it in glow in the dark PLA because that was all I had at the time. However the result was better than expected. The addition of the glow in the dark material makes it even more fun. I just have to check on its rigidity as summer approaches and temperatures rise. There are some modifications I want to make including printing it in different materials and colors, but for now its cool too have.
Print Details:
PLA at 20% infill with supports everywhere. Used a .4 nozzle
