Shorter front Z carriages to have a higher clearance behind frame braces. With a Voron logo because why not.

I initially wanted to just squeeze the original Z carriages to increase the clearance to fit my frame corner braces. But then I just reworked them completely.

Design

Designed to keep all mounting points at the same places. Slightly reshaped, primarily adding a 1mm clearance in the front to fit behind my braces and probably any braces really.

Intentionally made the front bigger to nicely fit the Voron logo on there, just accent color insert now but coming with a nice shine later in the future.

I also added a washer for the spring of anti backlash nuts to flatly stand on if you use them.

They are definitely easier to install while building but it's not that difficult to replace yours if you want these.

The shine update will come in the future when I make a nice bed shine that will connect those together.

I've included STLs to print directly and STEPs for easier modifications. F3Ds will come with shine update when everything is done.

Printing

All STLs are already oriented and possible to be printed without supports.

Printed in the regular Voron print settings, so that's:

  • 0.4 Nozzle
  • 0.2 Layer height
  • 4 Perimeters
  • 1.5mm Top and bottom thickness
  • 40% Cubic infill
  • ASA filament

Alright, that's all. Happy printing!
