Mid-Century Modern Table Lamp

OVERVIEW

Need a cosy, diffuse light source for your home? Let this wooden slat-inspired lamp do the job. When paired with a warm bulb, it produces a soft, stylish glow without becoming overbearing.

COMPATIBILITY & HARDWARE

This project requires a minimum build volume of 180mm³. Through careful design, I’ve ensured it will fit on most printers, including the Prusa and Bambu Lab Mini machines. No special hardware or nozzles are needed—a standard 0.4mm nozzle works perfectly.

REQUIRED HARDWARE & FASTENERS

1× IKEA Svallet lamp

1× E14 bulb

3× M3×10 bolt

3× M3nS nut (DIN 562)*

*If you built a Prusa kit, you probably have these in your spare parts.

Final dimensions: H: 40cm, W: 18cm

PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS

No advanced materials are required—PLA works just fine. However, if you plan to place the lamp in an area exposed to strong sunlight, PET-G may be a better choice. I personally used a combination of ELEGOO Matte PLA and Prusament Woodfill Chocolate Brown.

All parts should be printed without support material in the orientation provided. I tested the parts at a 0.2mm layer height, though 0.25mm should also work well if you're looking to save time.

The only part that requires special care is the Diffuser. This should be printed in vase mode using white PLA to ensure sufficient light passes through. I used the Archimedean Chords bottom-fill pattern, but any pattern should work fine.
