WIP Set of climbing holds. 

Holes sized for standard hardware (3/8" - 16 socket head bolts)

Print settings 1 (epoxy infill):

  • PLA with 6% gyroid infill
  • 0.2 layer height
  • (cura experimental) fuzzy surface
  • Zero bottom layers
  • Fill with epoxy resin

Print settings 2 (ready to climb)

  • PLA works, PETG/ABS better
  • 0.2 layer height
  • (cura experimental) fuzzy surface
  • 20% gyroid infill
  • 4 walls
  • 6 top layers

Most of the ones I've printed so far have been epoxy infill. I'll be experimenting more with the no additive settings to see if I can find the sweet spot with high reliability, reasonable filament requirements, and print times.

The fuzzy surface setting gives it a great texture. I use the following settings, but you can fine tune to your desire:

  • Fuzzy skin: True
    • Outside Only: True
    • Thickness: 0.2mm
    • Density: 2.0 1/mm
      • Point Distance: 0.5 mm

  • Fixed issue with CC_Crimp2_Pockets where there was a void on the bottom
