WIP Set of climbing holds.
Holes sized for standard hardware (3/8" - 16 socket head bolts)
Print settings 1 (epoxy infill):
- PLA with 6% gyroid infill
- 0.2 layer height
- (cura experimental) fuzzy surface
- Zero bottom layers
- Fill with epoxy resin
Print settings 2 (ready to climb)
- PLA works, PETG/ABS better
- 0.2 layer height
- (cura experimental) fuzzy surface
- 20% gyroid infill
- 4 walls
- 6 top layers
Most of the ones I've printed so far have been epoxy infill. I'll be experimenting more with the no additive settings to see if I can find the sweet spot with high reliability, reasonable filament requirements, and print times.
The fuzzy surface setting gives it a great texture. I use the following settings, but you can fine tune to your desire:
- Fuzzy skin: True
- Outside Only: True
- Thickness: 0.2mm
- Density: 2.0 1/mm
- Point Distance: 0.5 mm
