It happens, the original metal cap failed due to over-tightening.
I like to have my olive oil tidy, so... 3D printing was the answer.
This cap fits on 30mm wide glass bottle. I made it fit snugly to avoid drips.
I kept the plastic seal for better protection but I didn't have to.
I had to trim it though to put it in place; a large major diameter and deeper thread would have helped with that.
