Replace the arm and ECAS bases (all of them) with this design. Insert the outfeed PTFE tubing as far into the arm as you can, then trim the end of the tubing to fit the profile of the arm. Cut the tubing between the exit ECAS and the idler arm to allow the arm to more freely move up and down while retaining a reasonably smooth path for the filament.

I have used these arms successfully to print an “airless” ball using PLA supports. That is, one TPU and one PLA filament in the MMU. This worked pretty reliably.
I have not yet been able to reliably print two or more TPU filaments in one print, though I believe this is more an issue with the print head than in the replacement idler arms available here.
