SV08 BTT Smart Filament Sensor v2 Bracket

As I have not yet gone down the path of a CF or MMX, and just use a single spool feeding into the stock location on the side of the SV08, I wanted to mount the BTT Smart Filament Sensor v2 to the spool just like the stock sensor is. This does the job perfectly, thanks to BTT releasing their STEP files, as of course so does Sovol. I am so impressed they do this and makes for modding your machine so easy and fun.

I printed this in ASA, only because it happened to be loaded, but I'm sure PLA would do fine. Print it flat and you won't need any supports. Getting the screws and the original bush through might need some… encouragement, or a quick drill out.

New to the scene and this is my first Model upload, so would appreciate feedback and any Makes.

Connecting the SFS v2

The easy way that uses the stock cable and connection to the main motherboard is detailed here, but that really only detects tangles and actually lets you start printing without anything loaded.

To fully use both the Runout switch and the Tangle Sensor, I found the following on the Sovol User Forum by a user called Ibedwl. Thank you, good sir!

I connected the motion/tangle sensor to the PA9 pin on the toolhead and runout to the stock port on the mainboard. Then I added the following code to my printer.cfg

You will need to change the plug over to a jst 1.25mm

Black = Yellow
Green = White
