Moen posi-temp shower handle - accessible

Our original acrylic handle for our Moen Posi-temp shower was looking worse for wear after many years of use. The original handle had a teardrop shape that was not only difficult to turn with wet hands, but especially at times for my wife, who has rheumatoid arthritis.

I wanted to design a replacement handle that was simple, elegant, and easy to turn. The minimalist design with multiple colors allows for an easy installation and clear indication of what direction to turn for hot and cold water.

There is a small sacrificial support that you will need to drill through/poke through so that the screw can be put through the handle. As a result, you should not turn on supports in the slicer.

This is a multi-color print that produces minimal waste. You should need no wipe tower if you purge enough. I printed mine on my Elegoo Centauri Carbon using Orca Slicer's multi-material features, which effectively made me do all the swaps manually. If you do this, you will need to examine the print preview to see which colors are printed in which order so that you may swap the colors in the correct order.

The plug is best printed in a flexible material. I printed mine in a 40D TPE. If needed, you can scale in X and Y to get the fit that is best for your handle.
