Anchor Tab Bracket – Multipurpose Mount for Latches, Cords, & Tie-Downs

Overview

This is a rugged, 3D-printable anchor tab bracket designed to hold latch bars, tie-downs, cords, or carabiners in place. Originally designed as a keeper for a barn door latch, it's proven useful as a universal mounting point for everything from paracord loops to trailer gear.

Print Recommendations:

• Material: PETG (for outdoor or high-strength use), PLA works for lighter duty
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 50%
• Perimeters: 9 walls (very strong — minimum of 4 walls still functional)
• Supports: None
• Orientation: Print flat on back for best strength and surface quality

Dimensions:

• 1.5" × 3" × 0.875" (38.1 × 76.2 × 22.2 mm)
• Mounting hole is made for a #6 wood screw

We use two of these with a paracord and carabiner to keep a storage lid closed. It’s clean, secure, and much more compact than traditional hasp-and-staple hardware.
