My initial design caused too much echoing, so here is a version that seems to give a slight white noise effect at first, then just dampening. There are two versions, the first model has a short stem to the fitted earbud. The second has a longer stem. I found that for my ear, I needed the longer version to fit comfortably. I also needed more angle than I initially thought as the ring part pressed into my ear too much. It may vary also based on what kind of earbud tip you have available. I took the measurements for the part that fits the earbud tip from the bluetooth headphones I have now, to fit those spare tips, and they fit very well with that and other ones I have around.

I printed these in PHA, matte PLA, and silk rainbow PLA, using my Sovol SV04 with a 0.4 mm nozzle, and for all versions I printed at a 0.10 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, and minimum 3 solid top and bottom layers, and set to 15% gyroid infill. This caused the model to print solid, without infill, except right at the top. You might consider printing this in a TPU, I haven't tried that yet. Also, be aware of your first layer squish, it will affect the size of the bottom gap and how much noise gets through! You could probably adjust it that way if you have fine control.

IMPORTANTLY: For myself I printed with paint-on supports for the stem. If you select support on build plate only on your slicer, without any enforcers, your slicer may generate support from the gap at the bottom, and make a tiny ring inside the hollow centre, that you may not be able to get out. If you want to have more noise dampening, this may be a positive thing! You might also experiment with pausing the print before the ring is enclosed and putting some fluff in, for additional noise dampening.

If you have requests for size changes, additional nose dampening patterns, or less noise dampening, different angle of stem, please message or comment and I will post those as I'm able! I'd like to make one with a larger hole toward the tip of the earplug, with a recess for a mesh disc, but until I can find a mesh disc and figure out how to make sure its secure that will wait.

Edit 1: I added a less intense angle of both long and short versions!

Edit 2: Ok I also added solid versions of the model. For these, set bottom and top solid layers to zero and bottom and top thickness to zero. Set perimeters to two, infill to 10% or less, and pick a pattern. Now it should be that the noise dampening is dependent on the type and amount of infill! 3d honecomb combined every 2 layers gave a pattern that was a bit airy, looked nice, experiment and see what you like!

Edit 3: Someone mentioned wanting to try a version that might sound like a seashell, so Ive uploaded an approximation of the original one I made that I found echoy, I deleted the original! Sorry! This one may be a tricky print, beause there is a section of the stem that is single perimeter.

Edit 4: Ok i did a silly one. Haven't tried it at all but maybe the double stacked donut will have that echoey seashell effect. <3

Edit 5: Flattened all the bottoms for printability! I was so concentrating on the shape of the stem and chamber I forgot. Should go off a bit better now. Thanks!

Happy printing, and good luck!
