Moonlander tilter set

These tilters are designed to improve reachability for keys that are farther from the home row (ASDF) on a Moonlander keyboard. Key tilt angles are adjusted in 10° increments based on distance from the home position. The middle finger column is intentionally set lower than the others.

Heights are calculated based on distance and tilt angle for the curve to resemble a sphere.

Recommended Switches

I recommend using OUTEMU Medium-Low Profile Brown Switches or any MX-compatible switches that include a surrounding guard (the plastic collar around the cross stem—whatever it's officially called). Standard MX switches without this guard may catch on the edge of a tilter and prevent proper keypresses. While I've taken measures to minimize this risk, there's a trade-off between avoiding interference and keeping the wall thickness reasonable.

File Naming and Tilt Angles

File names follow the format: Tilt_[left/right tilt]_[up/down tilt]. Quantities listed in parentheses.

Tilt_0_0 — No tilt, base connectors. (x3)

Tilt_10_0 — 10° left/right tilt (e.g. G key or Tab). (x2)

Tilt_20_0 — 20° left/right tilt. (x1)

Tilt_0_10 — 10° down/up tilt. (x6)

Tilt_0_20 — 20° down/up tilt. (x6)

Middle Finger Column Versions:

Tilt_0_0_middle (x1)

Diagonal Tilt:

Tilt_10_10 — 10° left/right + 10° up/down tilt. (x4: original, x-mirror, y-mirror, xy-mirror)

Printing Instructions

Tested using SLA printing only. I recommend printing with ABS-like resin.

Supports required at the base.

A pre-sliced .ctb file is included for convenience.

To create a full right-hand set, mirror all parts.

Fit and Tolerances

The connectors are tapered to ensure a snug fit for both the keycap and the switch. However, tolerances may vary depending on your specific printer and resin/material.
