For my microscope, I wanted to add a camera. High-quality microscope cameras can get quite expensive, but I found a solution using the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera, which offers excellent performance at a fraction of the cost. To use the camera without a full Raspberry Pi setup, I paired it with the Arducam CSI-USB-UVC Adapter.

Although the adapter works perfectly, i couldn't find a suitable case, so I designed one myself.

The case is designed to go over the small screws holding the two PCBs together.

It uses four M4x35mm screws with washers and endcaps.

Several ventilation holes are included to help dissipate heat from the chip. In my testing, it survived about 2 hours of 4K live view in summer (but no direct sunlight) without issues, so it should be safe for typical use. You can add more holes if additional cooling is desired.

The case has an integrated strain relief for the USB Cable. It clamps the cable firmly but not excessively, reducing the risk of damaging the connector.

For assembly remove the adapter threading before placing the top plate on the camera-pcb. Be careful to avoid dust on the sensor.
Also be careful to not clamp the flexible connector cable, it should slip inside the larger part.

Other than these points, the design is straightforward and functional.
