Protect your shins from pedal strikes – lightweight, affordable, and individually formable!
Every mountain biker knows the problem: one slip on the pedals and the sharp edge leaves a painful mark on your shin. This 3D-printed MTB shin guard is a simple and effective way to add extra protection for your rides.
Features
⚡ Practical & functional – designed to absorb impacts and scratches from pedals.
🎯 Custom fit – printed flat in PLA, then softened in hot water and shaped directly to your shin.
🔧 Two versions available:
Mini version with mounting points (e.g. for Velcro straps)
XL version to wear under long socks without straps
🛠 Work in progress – more models are currently being tested and developed!
🖨 Compact design – easy to print, no supports required.
Manufacturing & Adjustment
Print flat in PLA.
Place in hot water for about 1 minute.
Carefully remove and press against your shin to shape (gloves recommended).
Hold until cooled – done!

Material: PLA (easy to reshape with heat)
Infill: 20–30 %
Layer height: 0.2 mm
Supports: not needed

This shin guard is not a replacement for certified protective gear. It’s meant as a simple, everyday solution for extra safety when riding MTB, Enduro, or trail tours.
