The project
A compact and sturdy support for securing the front fork of a bike to a workbench, rack or car floor. The body accepts interchangeable spacers for the main front thru-axle standards; the base is anchored with three M5 screws or two M8 bolts. Designed for uncomplicated FDM printing, strong and modular.
Compatibility (front)
- QR 9×100 (classic)
- 12×100 (road / gravel / light XC)
- 15×100 (non-Boost MTB)
- 15×110 Boost (modern MTB)
- 20×110 (DH / freeride)
What's included (files)
- Bridge body (main support)
- Base plate with M5 holes and M8 slots
- Spacers: QR 9×100, 12×100, 15×100, 15×110 Boost, 20×110
Printing & materials
- Material: PETG or ABS/ASA. Avoid PLA if exposed to heat/sunlight.
- Layer: 0.20 mm (0.28 mm OK for spacers)
- Perimeters: 5–6 on the body and spacers
- Infill: 60–100% (spacers 80–100%) (I used 80% to be on the safe side)
- Seam position: Although it affects the aesthetics a little, I preferred to use random order to give more structure.
- Supports: to be used on the main body and on the QR 9x100 spacer (I used the shaft support at 40% threshold)
- Orientation on the printing plane: Main body and spacers vertical (layers like rings → better radial resistance); the base flat.
Assembly
- Print the body, base plate and spacers for your standard.
- Align the base plate and body, screw them to the surface using M5 or M8 screws, depending on the surface or profile you decide to use (I recommend the use of washers).
- Insert the spacers into the body tube (if necessary, use a drop of cyanoacrylate or two dots of hot glue; mine fit perfectly).
- Place the fork and insert the thru-axle through the spacers.
- Don't forget to tighten the axle ;-)
Design notes
- The chamfers at the openings help the pin to be inserted.
- Integrate ‘shoulders’ on the body to distribute the bending moments.
- If fixing to thin wood, use large washers or a rear plate.
- If you need to wash the bike in place, consider Nylon/PA-CF and stainless steel screws.
!!!! Safety & limits !!!!
Designed for typical static loads (bikes weighing 12–20 kg). Always check your setup: tolerances, material, infill and screws greatly affect resistance.
Do not use as an anchor point for road transport without additional certified systems. Use at your own risk.
Variants / customisations
- Additional spacers in different colours to identify the standard.
- Bottom plate for 2020/2040 profiles with T-nuts.

If you find it useful, please like it and post a ‘make’!
For requests (new bushings/quotes or branding on the base), please write in the comments: I will be happy to prepare the variant.
You can also buy me a coffee, and I will be very grateful! =)
