T Blocks can be a useful addition to any Milling setup. They offer strength and orientation control.
This design was created for Taig Tool's 2019 Micro Mill. Featuring three embedded M3 nuts, this T Block allows for small nonstructural accessories to be mounted to the machine's table: Air Blowoffs, Cameras, Dial Indicators, Limit Switches, Indexing Features, Shrouds, etc.
Best practice is to use a soldering iron to embed the M3 Hardware - while plastic is still setting, tighten bolts to ensure flush alignment. Additionally, hardware can be embedded with pressure using either an M3 Bolt and Nut, or using a vice.
Optimizing for speed with 0.3mm Layers, no supports and adapted settings: a single unit takes 15 minutes to print. A pack of 20 can be completed in under 4 hours.
Tolerances are set to provide a snug fit against Machine's Table, for looser fit, scale down before printing or post process with Sand Paper / File.
