Warmaster stand bases (optional magnets)

These are bases for Warmaster miniatures, with space for the strip and magnets.

Magnet holes are for either 3×½mm (recommended), 3×1mm (unnecessarily strong) or 2×1mm (very fiddly).  For the best results, set the print to pause partway through, then insert the magnets. (In Prusa Slicer right click on the layer slider after slicing.)

Several slot shapes are provided.  If you need something different, an easy way is to use the “Blank” base and add “Negative Modifiers” in the slicer.

Rectangular bases contain the letter R.

Circular bases for characters contain the letter C.

Two alternative shapes, a shield-like Reuleaux heptagon (H) for heroes and a star-like shape for wizards (W), are options for more easily distinguishing these characters.

The star pattern on the bottom of one of the bases provides a little extra grip on a hill, but makes the base more likely to warp with glue. It's done in the slicer with a “Height range modifier” for the bottom 0.5mm, set Infill = Octogram Spiral, Bottom Solid Layers zero.

The source file uses OpenSCAD with the BOSL2 library.

I have printed this on an FDM printer, I don't know how well they would work on a resin printer.
