Backstory
When creating window frames for Seed pixels using 25x16 mini trunking (Available from many uk suppliers), the standard instructions are to take the commercially available top cover corner pieces and place underneath to make a mechanical corner (glued in place). These have to have the small tabs inside removed by chisel or other destructive technique.
I found this damaging my chisels and quite frankly a real pain to do so decided on creating an alternative with some added benefits.
Types of corners
There are 5 types of corners
- Full - just like a standard corner. No Drain Holes. Use at the top.
- Opening on Bottom Left with water drain holes
- Opening on Bottom Right with water drain holes
- Bottom left (no opening) with water drain holes
- Bottom right (no opening) with water drain holes
Available in two sizes. Standard and extended, which gives a little extra real estate to glue and provide a slightly firmer fix.
The openings are to provide an exit for cables
As noted above, these corner pieces are intended to be glued into position and go underneath the trunking and not over it.
What's Provided?
.3mf files - for the standard and extended versions (only extended pictures shown). Each body is separated in the file for you to duplicate as needed
.f3d files - not quite right for you? Here's the f360 file that you can modify to your requirements
Making amendments
the f3d files can be modified to your requirements.
Printing
I use PETG, layer height .2 and 6 perimeter walls. 25% infill (although there is very little infill used here!)
Essentially a strength profile.
