This mod allows the use of half length darts in the Nerf Rival pilot blaster. It replaces the front end with a slot for a 16mm Outer diameter barrel. Tested and works great, unfortunately i dont have a chronograph but i believe similar setups shoot 150 fps with a printed barrel, so the aluminium barrel should be a little better.
The fit should be fairly snug but may require some glue or clear tape to secure the barrel. You can print however you like but i recommend a strong setup.
After some testing i believe optimal barrel length is around 10cm, the one pictured is 18cm and had poor accuracy. Changing to 10 was a significant improvement. Unfortunately this means a scar wont fit without modification to the design.
Print settings i used for ender 3 v1 (PLA+):
6 layer top/bottom
4 layer walls
cubic infill 20%
