Tested with the 40mm Garmin Vivomove Trend watch, but might work for other 40mm Garmin watches as well, depending on the button placement. The fit is very snug and surprisingly clings on very well without additional straps. This was designed to be a cheap, simple, bumper protector when hiking/climbing/doing construction/woodworking/etc which can quickly transform the Trend from office wear to outdoor wear. It was not designed to be an everyday/all day wear item, however it has held up to use while sleeping and putting on tight sleeves, etc. The bumper can be used with or without an additional  glass screen protector  either glued to the case or adhered to the watch itself. When the glass is glued to the case and not the watch, the touch screen is still responsive.

Printed with Ninjatek Cheetah TPU (This filament is magic.) If you are using PLA or PETG you might need to slightly scale the model up by 1-2%.

  • Infill doesn't matter
  • No Supports
  • 0.2 Layer Height
  • Print Orientation: Put the top, where the glass would be, facing down against the print bed.
  • Optional: Super glue a glass screen protector to the inside of the rim. You just need a few tiny dots of super glue around the interior edge of the rim. The Amazon listing notes it's designed for all 40mm watches, and the actual dimensions are 36.25mm x 0.6mm. I didn't attempt to remove the thin plastic film covering the adhesive normally used to secure the glass to the watch. Leaving the plastic film may make the glass less clear, but I have not had much success easily removing adhesive in the past. Let me know if you find something works for you!

I've also considered experimenting with printing the glass into the bumper, but I haven't tried this yet. I also am considering creating a keychain case for it.
