Works very well, you can clearly see the puff of dust at 15 yards, and target stays intact after many shots from .22 pellet gun. I printed in PLA which seems to work perfect for this application. You can hang it or tape it to a target.
Print the grid and 110 instances of caps. Recommend printing on a non-stick textured surface so you can easily peel the grid off without breaking it.
Print the caps at .12 layer height or lower because there are thin high detail tapered surfaces.
Fill circles to the brim with powdered chalk or other environmentally friendly non-toxic powder like flour. Instead of using a scoop to carefully fill the circles up one by one, just get messy with it. Put the grid on a big sheet of paper, dump powder all over it and level it off with a ruler. Snap the caps on and just clean it all off. The caps should snap on with a firm push, but occasionally one or two will break when assembling. Just print extras or superglue the broken ones on.
