Do you need to attach a ND filter to your iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max? Here's a solution.
A total of 10 magnets are required. Magnets should be 10mm x 2mm.
- Glue magnets into each of the 5 depressions on both the base plate and filter ring.
- Affix the base plate to your phone's camera plateau with thin double-sided tape.
- Magnetically attach the filter ring to the base plate.
The fine threads for the filter require you to print the filter ring at a small layer height. In my case, I used PrusaSlicer's variable layer height setting to print the thread layers at 0.7mm. I also had to disable Arachne and enable “Detect thin walls”.
