Do you own a Carson Reflex Stick Touch transmitter and your battery died?
Carson no longer produces the battery with part number 500608134, they don’t have it in stock, and according to official support there is no replacement.
If you’re facing this problem, here’s a solution to bring your RC set back to life:
- 100% drop-in replacement
- 100% functional
- Charging via the transmitter’s USB port works
I selected a currently available battery on the market with nearly identical specs:
- Compatible dimensions
- Almost the same capacity
- Built-in protection electronics against overcharge and over-discharge

Thanks to the favorable dimensions, the new battery also fits a switch that physically disconnects the battery from the transmitter.
According to Carson support, if you store the transmitter for a longer time, you must remove the battery so the transmitter won’t drain it.
That’s tedious, right? Hence the switch.

Print the adapter first. Instructions:
- print from PETG or PLA; I used Prusament PETG
- 0.4 nozzle
- 0.2 layer height
- 2 perimeters
- supports: yes, snug — only at the marked areas (see photos)
Battery connector:
It has only two contact pads: plus and minus.
I cut a 6×35 mm rectangle from copper-clad board.
Then placed it into the 3D-printed adapter, traced the connector opening, and split the copper in the middle with a sharp knife.
Plus is at the edge and the rest is minus (see photos).
Assembly and wiring are simple (see photos):
- screw the switch to the printed frame using some 2mm screws
- cut off the unused pins of the switch
- measure wire lengths
- negative (black) goes directly to the connector
- positive (red) goes to the switch first, then from the switch to the connector
- solder the wires to the battery
- glue the connector into the adapter with CA (superglue)
- wrap the assembled unit with strong tape
- print a label and cover it with clear tape
- stick a short piece of string on the bottom with tape to make removal from the transmitter easier
- drill and carefully shape an opening in the battery door for the switch
- The adapter fits the transmitter perfectly and doesn’t move at all.
Enjoy building your new battery! ;)
